Types of Contributions
Photographs or Negatives
Ben can scan photographs and negatives to digitalise them and will do so with utmost care, please use the form below to arrange collection. If you would prefer not to lend the original photos we can also accept a picture taken with a digital camera or smartphone, please try to fill the photo with the original and take on the highest quality setting. Please contact us below if you require any assistance getting digital files to us.
Plans or Documents
Ben can scan documents and plans up to A0 in size to digitalise them and will do so with utmost care, please use the form below to arrange collection.
Written Articles
We are more than happy to accept full write ups about any subject of Ilminster history. We can accept them handwritten (Ben will type the document up to publish) and digitally. Please use the form below to discuss. The author of the article will receive full credit on the site.
Memories and Stories
We welcome all stories and memories that you may have about how Ilminster was and things that have happened in the past. We are happy to accept these handwritten, typed digitally or recorded as audio. Ben is also happy to meet and record stories which will then be transcribed for the site. The person recalling the memory/story will be given full credit.
Anything Else
The Society is willing to discuss the donation of any item that has historical significance to the town, please use the form below to get in touch and we will contact you to discuss.
